On NY's Liberty Island a fireball crash lands, but what actually lands is Dave Ming Chang (Eddie Murphy) , a human-shaped robot controlled by aliens. The aliens are out to find a way to save their planet on the way Dave falls in love with a single mom Gina (Elizabeth Banks), and her son Josh (Austyn Myers) who now thinks of Dave as his idol. The fun gets stopped though when the police think he's a criminal. Join Dave and his gang on a funny journey, go see Meet Dave!
